We have #readme-support-access explaining how support happens

Like.. who?
Well.. some people don't read #info-rules and #readme-support-access , specially the new users
That doesn't mean we need to create a complete new see
Ask vegancookies about
Not wanting to sound offensive but some people have reading issues
Or refuse to go to the support channels
Then you should make a ticket about it
Personally I think we don't need a completely new server. Just tell people where's support

#9664 📣 if you're having issues with Arch or Linux in general, make a support thread on #1006743093120352338 after reading #readme-support-access
Like this
We have a system in place, if someone refuses to go to the support area make a ticket and let the mods know with a screenshot
.s tickets
To report issues privately to the moderation team, use tickets.
To open a ticket, use the command </tickets open:839848848003825673>. This will open a private channel where you can talk to the moderators.
You can add other users to the ticket by using the command </tickets adduser:839848848003825673> in that channel.
When you're done talking to the moderation team, use the command </tickets close:839848848003825673> in your ticket's channel. This will archive all the messages sent in the ticket and delete the channel.
That’s how to make a ticket
Making a complete new server is overkill and waste of time
And ik as I was a server owner
And also may confuse even more the users
If I mute someone here they won’t be muted on the other server, and vice versa
Not only would it be confusing but mutes, bans, warnings would become incredibly difficult to maintain
Well.. point em to read #readme-support-access . We even have a welcome note
... welcome
#12196 📣 **Welcome to the
Arch Linux Community server. **Begin your journey here by reading
#info-rules and getting roles there. then read
#readme-support-access to get support access. follow the standard litany to make questions when making support and read
#tech-general description. thanks.

And we already are short of moderation and staff members @velvet ember
Who
Wdym by we
I have no idea what you mean
We aren’t going to open a support chat as issues can easily end up confused and harder to search for the answer to by being fragmented and mixed with multiple people asking for help at the same time
Also, brace yourself for a mute
Also the current forums on #1006743093120352338 works way better than the old channel way.
!give @willow perch hope you're doing good.

So if you want to know why we shouldn’t make a support chat channel, look at the UTM Discoed server to see why! It has a #787100693035089940-macos channel, a #787100693035089940-ios channel, and a #forum-questions channel that acts like our #1006743093120352338 . Doesn’t work that well if you see what happens there!
And people still use the wrong channels there—#macos, #ios, and #general are supposed to be used for discussion rather than support, but people ask there anyway!
Okay but I am struggling to get gnome to use wayland, so…should I not be using this random server-meta thread?! /j
I’m sure plenty of people are actually dumb enough not to know that server-meta means discussion about the server itself.
But there’s nothing about “meta” that resembles “support”
because of the forums format
