Hey, im using plasma kde with kwin and im trying to get obs to record the entire desktop (basically record what i am also able to see physically in person). I can only record certain tabs/apps or just the blank desktop background, but not the entire screen with the applications open, etc.
I've attached the possible sources that I have. I tried following this tutorial, but it didn't really help (probably cause im not using wayland).

Is there any way for me to get this feature to work?

the video not recording the separate window is the cherry on the cake. i was relying on it to give some more context on the problem ooooohgone

if i open an application over it, it still records that background

bruh i solved it. i clicked on screen capture xshm and it solved the problem. i think before i was trying to screen capture with pipewire, which was not working

just make sure you use default obs instead of streamlabs
