I've booted into the arch install environment using a live USB and mounted my partitions, but the grub-install command keeps giving me errors.

I've attached a picture of what I have so far

#

Oh, I tried making a directory inside /boot and it said "No space left on device"

#

Do yall have any advice on what I should do?

.aw grub

And now I think it should be right command

#

However, I run into the same size problem about there not being enough space

#

I was wondering what I could do to increase the space on the /boot partition

#

Would Gparted be the way to go?

#

Is there stuff I could delete in /boot that might help

steady sapphire
#

grub-install /boot/

#

wait no
grub-install --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=esp --bootloader-id=GRUB

soft vessel
#

Yes that's similar to what I have

#

But my efi-directory is /boot

steady sapphire
soft vessel
#

Wait, I was supposed to mount my efi partition at /boot, correct?

#

And then am I supposed to make /boot/efi?

Can we have a peek at what prompts when typing lsblk

Some of them are for windows

soft vessel
#

Wdym? Is there something wrong here?

solar pendant
#

Not really (?)

soft vessel
#

Ah, okay

steady sapphire
soft vessel
#

Alright

#

Wait so, I have a EFI directory

#

and send a image

steady sapphire
soft vessel
#

Okay

#

Then what?

steady sapphire
soft vessel
#

While inside EFI?

#

I don't have a grub folder in /boot

steady sapphire
soft vessel
#

I'm assuming you meant /GRUB

steady sapphire
#

and then type back in
grub-install /boot

#

also you don't have to capitalize the efi folder

soft vessel
#

cd takes you to /root, but you meant /, right?

steady sapphire
solar pendant
#

cd by itself

soft vessel
#

This tangential to the point but that isn't the case for me:

#

cd by itself takes me to ~, which is /root which isn't /

soft vessel
solar pendant
#

Wouldn't it be easier to just start over

From partitioning onwards

steady sapphire
#

wait you can install other boot loaders

soft vessel
#

Oh see I'm not trying to install arch

#

I already have arch dual booted with windows

steady sapphire
#

.aw systemd-boot

But for some reason my bootloader just died

steady sapphire
#

what

soft vessel
#

And so I'm trying to reinstall grub

steady sapphire
#

damn

solar pendant
#

Idk try wiping the efi folder and then install whatever bootloader

#

You don't have to mantain systemd-boot as much

soft vessel
#

Like deleting GRUB in /boot/EFI

#

Or just all of /boot/EFI

steady sapphire
#

.aw rEFInd

median turtleBOT
steady sapphire
#

you can install other ones

soft vessel
#

See but I'm pretty sure I'll run into the same problem: I just don't have enough space in my partition I believe

steady sapphire
#

try that

#

pacman -S refind

soft vessel
#

Okay

steady sapphire
#

refind-install --nodrivers

solar pendant
#

Damn

steady sapphire
steady sapphire
#

@soft vessel did it work?

soft vessel
#

yo, okay so i got everything working again

#

I am able to boot into arch now

#

I didnt try installing refind

#

My hunch that my boot partition just wasn't big enough was right

#

once I made it bigger with gparted, I was able to reinstall grub from the arch install env and it was smooth sailing
