whats the output of mkinitcpio -P
so no warnings, using standard config, with image generation successful at the end?
what if you unplug all the USBs, does the output change?
and youre using grub as the bootloader rn?
what are the hooks in mkinitcpio.conf
try to chroot and grep HOOKS /etc/mkinitcpio.conf and show the output
The important hooks line here uncommented
HOOKS=(base udev autodetect modconf kms keyboard keymap consolefont block filesystems fsck)
I wonder if anything is missing from it
what commands did you run to generate it?
do the file contents change after running mkinitcpio -p?
also these are the exact same hooks that i have, doubt thats the issue
whats the output of grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
The install guide mentions using mkinitcpio -P (capital P). I remember they also changed the wiki page to this back when they shifted to using a base metapackage which excludes linux (https://archlinux.org/news/base-group-replaced-by-mandatory-base-package-manual-intervention-required/)
Prior to that it used to read mkinitcpio -p linux
Capital P is for all mkinitcpio presets while lowercase is to specify one (which is what it used to be).
assuming you have a standard linux kernel that wouldn't change anything anyways ig
@misty fable

Too few arguments for command note!
