Also, do you have an Intel CPU?

wary oyster
#

Something just happend I already installed grub and install systemd-boot and config that and after reboot , grub shows in my boot menu !!

#

@eternal sequoia

eternal sequoia
#

So you weren't seeing your bootloader before?

wary oyster
#

Yes

#

@eternal sequoia

#

How to unistall grub ?

eternal sequoia
#

You delete it's UEFI entry and remove it's files from your EFI partition

wary oyster
#

How to do?

#

@eternal sequoia

eternal sequoia
#

Can you show me the contents of /boot?

wary oyster
#

I’m now in chroot

#

And /boot mount

#

@eternal sequoia

eternal sequoia
#

Delete the grub folder

wary oyster
#

Ok

#

I did

eternal sequoia
#

And in EFI there's either an arch or GRUB folder, delete those

wary oyster
#

I did

#

@eternal sequoia

#

My gpu is 3060 i do pacman -S nvidia lib32-nvidia-utils

eternal sequoia
#

Can you show me the output of efibootmgr?

#

If it isn't found install it with pacman

wary oyster
#

@eternal sequoia

eternal sequoia
#

efibootmgr -b 0 -B will delete the entry for GRUB

wary oyster
#

I did

eternal sequoia
#

What happens when you try to boot?

#

Does it still get stuck on the motherboard logo?

wary oyster
#

Let me reboot

#

Yes

#

Still stuck

#

@eternal sequoia

eternal sequoia
#

Or did you just mean the archISO

wary oyster
#

Yes now I’m back to tty

#

Archiso

#

@eternal sequoia

#

@eternal sequoia

eternal sequoia
#

You don't need to ping me every few minutes

wary oyster
#

Oki

#

What should I do now

eternal sequoia
#

You could try and see if the nvidia-open drivers work, they're like the proprietary drivers but with open-source kernel modules

#

It has worked better for some people

wary oyster
#

Okay

#

Nvidia-open not found

eternal sequoia
#

It's a package

wary oyster
#

Do reboot ?

eternal sequoia
#

Also try running mkinitcpio -P before rebooting, just in case

wary oyster
#

Ah I did and stuck again

#

I did when you said yes

#

I backed to archiso

spring oasis
#

Nvidia modeset enabled?

wary oyster
#

?

eternal sequoia
#

I doubt that would prevent them from booting, that's typically just needed for Wayland

wary oyster
#

?

#

Do what

#

Helppp

eternal sequoia
#

Did this start right after you installed the drivers?

wary oyster
#

I install driver after finish installing arch in chroot

#

Didn’t reboot

eternal sequoia
#

What is the timeout set to in your systemd-boot config?

#

It's in /boot/loader/loader.conf

wary oyster
#

3

eternal sequoia
#

And you're not seeing its menu at all?

wary oyster
#

What you mean

eternal sequoia
#

Do you see the bootloader when booting?

wary oyster
#

When boot the pc it should show the motherboard logo and kinda text or icon arch down there but it just show’s motherboard logo stuck

#

And in boot menu i have os uefi and linux boot manager

eternal sequoia
#

It's probably not a driver issue

wary oyster
#

Okay?!

#

I installed plasma xorg sddm

#

And kde-applications

#

@eternal sequoia

#

I just select the os

#

And this pop on

eternal sequoia
#

That's weird

wary oyster
#

Ahh

#

I’m gonna diee

#

Oh i have same issue with manjaro

#

Before back to install arch I was installing manjaro and after installing nvidia driver same thing happens

#

With manjaro

#

@eternal sequoia

#

What if I remove nvidia driver and boot ?

#

Wanna try it ?

#

I do pacman -R nvidia-open and lib32-nvidia-utils

#

And still stuck in motherboard

inland crag
#

And it’s going to GRUB rescue?

eternal sequoia
#

I don't think it's a driver issue

#

GRUB rescue appearing when you have systemd-boot is weird
