Are you able to access a TTY with ctrl + alt + F[2-6]

If you're able to, try deleting the xorg configuration you made, also, you don't need to manually blacklist nouveau

usually you can run nvidia-xconfig rather than making the config yourself unless you're doing specific options. Furthermore, I would also check if you're modsetting the nvidia KM'

So if you cannot access one I would recommend chroot’ing into the system and bringing up the log of your previous boot and find the error for failing to load kernel modules or even change your loglevel to a higher level to debug which one is faulting

Using that knowledge you an isolate if the module is missing or just not being loaded
