Hey, somewhat Linux newbie here installing arch for the first time. Lmk if this is the wrong place. I have a win10 pc with 2 ssds, one m.2 ssd with windows installed, and another Sata ssd with currently just some backups. I already partitioned the sata ssd with plenty of space for Linux (512gb / 1tb), but my question arises with the further partitioning. I read and reread the wiki page on this but it’s possible I’m simply missing it. I started with 512mb for efi/boot partition, 50gb for root, and the rest of 400gb or so for home. I would assume that the win10 partition has its own efi section on the m.2. Should I use that or do I need to make a new one inside the Sata ssd with linux?

You should use the windows efi partition

#

Do not make a new one as that could prevent windows from booting as stated on the wiki page

#

.aw dual boot

Section 2.1.2

you can either use efibootmgr or use your bios' menu directly if the windows efi partition option is gone from the boot entry

#

and depending on who you are, windows' ESP may be a bit too small for you

the only thing i can think of that
is probably when you cant use uefi entries and have to stick with fallback paths
in which case there has to be only one loader

MS made an article about it which is linked in that wiki page

Honestly no idea but if the wiki lists it then it might be a risk
