#Black screen after suspend! (laptop)

Hi! Whenever I close my laptop lid/let my laptop suspend/sleep after x time, un-suspending it just results in a black screen. I hear my fans kick in/mouse light etc turning on, but the monitor itself wont light up.

I've seen many guides saying to use an LTS kernel, but I would rather stick on the latest. Ive also followed instructions such as: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/691691/screen-doesnt-turn-on-after-closing-laptop-lid, but that just results in not being able to boot into arch at all.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could approach solving this?

Side notes:

  • I have an intel integrated and nvidia dedicated GPU. Using nouveau drivers for the nvidia card.
  • Gnome on wayland

Screen doesn't turn on after closing laptop lid
