#Accidentally made laptop monitor secondary monitor. How do I reset display settings?

was it on xorg or wayland?
Hi! From the login screen I have X11 selected instead of Wayland.
what settings did you change?
what desktop environment or window manager are you using?
I see konsole so is it suppose to be kde?
Yes it is KDE Plasma.
I was troubleshooting connecting a projector during a meeting and I was changing various display settings and changing primary monitor etc.
try xrandr --output $output --primary
or plug in an external display
I just plugged in an external monitor. It seems the desktop is on whatever monitor is not the primary monitor. I try to switch them around but it just goes back and forth. If the external monitor is disconnected, there is no desktop
Super strange
set your laptop screen to primary with the command
I have. It is the primary, but I think it has been all along
The cmd disabled the external monitor but the desktop is still missing
you could try resetting kde kscreen (that is kde right?) with rm -rf ~/.local/share/kscreen/
then ctrl alt backspasce
Yes it's KDE. I'll try this cmd
It's executed, so it removes the configuration file, right? Should I reboot?
ctrl alt backspace
After executing the command and ctrl alt backspace, it restarted kde but it didn't change
Is there a more nuclear option on factory resetting KDE? I have no settings I am scared to lose
Short of reinstalling the OS
some fish script i found
convert it to bash if you dare
It\s okay. I ran the script.
So the configurations are already non-existing?
shit
cd ~
if that doesn't work, just delete everything on the main list
Maybe I can reinstall KDE Plasma?
Or would it still keep a configuration?
Is it maybe not with KDE itself but sddm?
uninstalling probably doesn't remove configs
