yd you only gabe it 10G
.aw gparted
The guy on the installation video said 10G was enough💀
Ty
With that much storage I would just recommend a combined root and home
That's why you don't follow random YT videos
.aw Installation guide
Official guide
I already installed everything rn rhough
Just need to increase my root size
Just as a heads up
Ah alr ty
Get gparted live and do it
Ah alright
Ty
Anotar heads up. My arch uses 500 gb for itself but root uses 90 and the rest is for home
So you have to calculate how much space to allocate for arch and it's partitions
I only have 475GB and i'm duel booting linux and windows (Windows for gaming and linux for everything else)
You can game on arch fine but kernel level anticheat games
Ye,13GB for swap is good right?
.aw proton
How much ram you have?
16GB
Ah alright thx
For games use steam proton or lutris

.aw steam
Ik those are there but my dad says i need to keep my windows
And if i have it i might aswell game on it
Nobody said anything about wiping windows, just said that you can run games on arch fine.
Only kernel level anticheat games need windows
Oh like that alright
Ye everything with eac
that's enough for a minimal installation
I installed everything he did
Perhaps, but they need more space as it complaint about
Even less actually
what are the stuff they installed?
Alot of stuff
Like kde plasma
Text editors
ok no
that wont fit
Ye
Anyways, you now know that you can play games on arch but resize your drive.
I'm trying to find the commands to resize
There's no command as gparted live is a GUI tool
How do i open it
Use balena etcher or ventoy to make a bootable USB with it then boot live
Can't i also use the non graphical interface version?
Wdym?
Gparted live makes resizing ez
Or you want the CLI tools?
.aw cfdisk
Is your friend
It's included on arch iso
But I recommend gparted live as it is very intuitive
I tried that but it gave me the error: failed to parse size
Do you know why?

When requesting support, please include specific, detailed, and relevant information about your system and issue.
We need such information because we don't know what it's like inside your system, and it's unlikely that we know much about the issue you're facing. The more information you can provide, the better we can help you with your specific issue.
Some examples of frequently requested information include the steps you took before your issue occurred (such as system updates), the steps you took to resolve your issue and their results, and your environment (such as your display manager or desktop environment).
Vague or superficial questions lead to vague or superficial answers. False information leads to false solutions.
In a nutshell, no logs or info, idk
Alr wait
It says the maximum size is 10,7G while i have like 86,7G of free space
What tool is that?
And why don't you boot to gparted live?
Cfdisk
That sounds hard
BRUH it's very ez to do
You only need an USB drive, ventoy and gparted live ISO
What is ventoy?
.aw ventoy
Make the ventoy usb, copy gparted live ISO to it and reboot to the usb
Then proceed to resize
Ah alright ty
Any questions just ask. You can find gparted tutorials on the web.
