d o n t u s e k d e d i s c ov e r t o u p d a t e y o u r s y s t e m
yeah
try rufus from a windows system (idk if rufus is on linux)
Ethernet should work out of the box. You only have to use iwctl if you don’t have a wired connection.
yeah
idk
hm
what chipset does the system your installing on have?
no
like these https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/details/chipsets/desktop-chipsets/products.html
but maybe another brand
If you don’t mind, I can help you with the installation tomorrow.
We can walk through it together and make a fresh installation with BTRFS and GRUB.
In case you can’t figure your problem out.
Nope. We use ventoy or Balena
try cp to the /dev/sd...
.aw ventoy
try booting the iso first?
Make ventoy usb > copy archiso > reboot & enjoy
That’s akward.
I use Ventoy and the newest ISO to make installations, and I’ve never had any problems with the internet.
The only time I had trouble was when I didn’t have an Ethernet connection but had to rely on a wireless connection.
so maybe the usb port or chipset on your system is kinda weird or dying
only thing i can think of
try another port on the computer
Cough cough EndeavourOS
was there? in the boot menu
no before that screen
Yeah you can just use EndeavourOS for now and then use a Virtual Machine to play around with the vanilla installation process.
Sometimes trying with another USB drive helps. Some cheap USB drives do this stuff
in the Mobo boot menu
Yup. EndeavourOS will be useful to get used to arch til they can master vanilla arch install
👌
i just went straight to arch-
Just giving alternatives
Or use ventoy with another USB drive
@nova rivet

when you boot the iso is there another option?
