@blazing linden mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
I got it working
it was archinstall
I could've saved 5 hours of pain
if in the beginning 2 hours I did arch install
archinstall does systemd for u
True
@deep estuary can you put [SOLVED] at the beginning?
Ok
yknow what lemme hit the install key
Gl
And it broke
yeah it doesn't know how to do the partitions
Also something something accessdenied
Take a good night of sleep and tomorrow we solve that
k
At this point if it doesn't work tomorrow, I'll just go use manjaro
this is becoming a headache
Lol
The whole point of dual booting arch was to experience something other than ubuntu
and to try and get this as my desktop enviornment: https://github.com/elenapan/dotfiles
.
De?
Desktop enviorment
Yeah I was gonna get kde first
And use that for a bit
Then move on
.s manjaro
Don't use memejaro
You can use EndeavourOS instead if you give up on Chad arch install
Yeh, can confirm endeavouros works great as a stepping stone
Less meaningful now that archinstall exists but still has value
Archinstall causes a lot of problems
i was never able to configure partitions with archinstall...
Stick with the arch installation guide and you should be fine.
I'm very in favour of arch install, but only for people that already know what they're doing and who are just a little lazy
I was planning to do my own arch install script and i guess shell script it's better than the archinstall module
@blazing linden @grave osprey problem solvedf
Dude on reddit helped me out
[solved] How to dual boot arch linux?
Got it working with grub
@deep estuary lets go
You have to mount the partition with the windows 10 OS for grub to load it, as well as your esp partition when you generate your config, since it will likely fail to mount the ntfs partition, you'll probably have to install ntfs 3g package ad try again, the partition can be mounted anywhere and grub will find it
@blazing linden @grave osprey we got it
lezz gooooooooooo
Lets go
