[Solved] Git asking for credentials.

Git asks for my username and password when I try to git clone dwm, why is that, and how do I make it so that it doesn't ask for that.

This normally occurs when you try to clone a private repo or when you're making a push

Try to set up a SSH key on the git service that you are trying to clone

I have a botched gitconfig

I cannot find it tho

Do you know where the git-config file is, can't find it, I am using a minimal installation of arch.

I installed the git package with pacman.

I couldnt see it with ls for some readon

I found it with ranger file manager

I just realized that suckless doesn't have a GitHub repo, it has a git repo.
