the taskbar doesn't move to the main monitor automatically, you need to move it

I've been looking around at the panel settings I can't seem to figure it out

cloud osprey

check the output menu

serene wasp
#

lol, okay that did it, it being called output is weird

#

would you happen to know anything about the 144hz thing?

cloud osprey
#

are both monitors set to 144hz?

serene wasp
#

yes

#

and there are no other monitors connected

#

try disabling the compositor qnd checking if everything runs fine

#

it should probably be in the "window manager tweaks" settings

serene wasp
#

so that did work, but now there are black borders around all of my windows

cloud osprey
#

yep that happens

serene wasp
#

that a permanent thing or?

cloud osprey
#

you can always enable the compositor back

#

if the issue stopped with disabling the compositor, it is maybe a vsync issue

#

lemme check

#

.aw xfwm4

cloud osprey
#

try running this xfwm4 --replace --vblank=off &

serene wasp
#

I think it worked, I would have to go into a game to actually test it

cloud osprey
#

keep in mind that disabling vsync may use more resources

#

but honestly who cares gnoll
