has been moved to xorg-apps for a long time
How to make yay retrieve from that remote ?
er it is not a remote
xorg-server-utils and xorg-apps are both just meta packages
yay xorg-apps
Okay but how to install xorg-server-utils then ?
So yay -S xorg-apps ?
took 12s | yay -S marionnet
-> Could not find all required packages:
xorg-server-utils (Wanted by: marionnet)
Even after the installation, it cannot found the package to install marionnet
Oh yeah, that's been a while
I can't even access their site to see what the upstream is
nor does it respond to pings
ok at least it's on archive.org but the problem is that their install script would also rely on the site being up
well yeah the script tries to grab from https://www.marionnet.org/download/mirror/ so
But I got the script, I cloned it and I tried to run it
But the thing is, I got a big error stacktrace
Pastebin.com is the number one paste tool since 2002. Pastebin is a website where you can store text online for a set period of time.
There's no any log file in /tmp
since it's failing on ocaml compile, could you see if you can remove that part from the Makefile and install ocaml via yay?
it doesn't work for every things in the Makefile
Well, I guess that, it's not a pretty good software ig
hmmm
I guess we could try updating the marionnet PKGBUILD to point to xorg-apps instead of xorg-server-utils
Can we ?
lemme swap to my x86 machine since this definitely isn't running on ARM lol
lol
although I think they're blocking connections outside of europe
I literally can't get to the site
Maybe, that's a software used in my college
I spent two hours and the one irreplaceable part of the compile process is lablgladecc2 which apparently supposedly exists but quietly disappeared
I suggest you contact your professor and figure things out because this is ridiculous to expect out of a student to figure out
Did you check comments about your package on aur.archlinux.org ? Sometimes other users post fixes there
What do you mean
Everyone has a window computer; I belong to the only one who have a Linux
Visit that website then search for your package and read the comments if any
