Please follow the Standard Litany when asking a question:
• What was your environment? What was your operating system, configuration?
• What did you do? What did you run or test? Where?
• What actually happened? What were the exact results, complete log contents, exact error messages?
• What did you expect? What were you aiming to achieve? What result were you looking for?
Vague or superficial questions will yield vague or superficial answers. False information leads to false solutions.

When requesting support, please include specific, detailed, and relevant information about your system and issue.
We need such information because we don't know what it's like inside your system, and it's unlikely that we know much about the issue you're facing. The more information you can provide, the better we can help you with your specific issue.
Some examples of frequently requested information include the steps you took before your issue occurred (such as system updates), the steps you took to resolve your issue and their results, and your environment (such as your display manager or desktop environment).

Did you enabled virtualization support on your BIOS?
Did you installed the kernel headers?
I'll check both of those
no I didn't do that
Then do the changes required
os - arch. what i did - ran virtual box with a windows 10 iso. results - didn't load. expectations - for it to load.
this is the headers you mean right?
I mean this
Also I actually do have that enabled I just checked
so that can't be the issue
Yup. Every kernel has headers which are requir by vbox
Then reboot to apply changes
yeah but installing it didn't work

I ran the command : "paru -S linux-headers"
ok
Use pacman
so i just run that command to update the mirrors?
or do i install the reflector first?
why is there a... ohhhhhhh
huh?

not sure what that means
no matter
ok
u can do them at the same time
paru -Syu reflector
doesnt really matter which u do first tbh
just run the reflector command after u update
which is?
on the arch wiki page for reflector
reflector --save /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist --country France,Germany --protocol https --latest 5except change the country to whatever country ur in
okay so for example
reflector --save /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist --country United States, --protocol https --latest 5
?
Why is there two countries? france and germany
Also my update is done so now I can run the reflector command
wait did i do something wrong the update stopped
I'm running the reflector but nothing is loading?
I put my password in
no comma
so should I rerun this command ? : sudo reflector --latest 5 --country "United States", --sort rate --save /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist --protocol https --download-timeout 15
and take out the comma?
idk if United States is right actually
damn ok
try using us
You use reflector then update
can I not use the country "United States" for the reflector?
ok
I use the country where I am rn to get the closest mirrors so.. do the same
so this ? : "sudo reflector --latest 5 --country "US", --sort rate --save /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist --protocol https --download-timeout 15"
Yeah I am in the US
that's why
country codes work according to the help page
ok ill try +1 then
no country codes like us and fr
how come nothing loads?
oh
maybe it worked?
try updating or installing or whatever
I already updated with -Syu?
then try installing what u were installing earlier
oh okay ya linux kernel
i mean headers
the installation for headers is working now tysm!!!
So i have the virtualization support enabled and now kernel headers installed I'm going to try to start the virtual box again
hopefully it will work this time
Good. Always keep your mirrors updated
It is still stuck
Did you tried making another VM?
New VM but you keep the VHD
Okay I'll try making another VM
Remember to reboot after installing the headers
oh i didn't do that
okay
brb
still not working after reboot
