Yeah pretty sure i didn't interrupt the update process
do sudo modprobe nvidia_uvm in the tty and tell me what it says
Oh also i forgot to mention that my install is now bricked
After i tried regenerating the grub
I'm led directly to the bios menu
It's like my grub doesn't exist
So idk what to do now
I have a windows install to boot into
And I've got a live USB
But i don't know what to do in there
boot into the live usb and reinstall the bootloader
Yeah i was trying that but i can't figure out step two
Don't know how I'm supposed to mount the efi
youve installed arch
you should atleast know
Apparently i have subvolumes
Yeah this one was done using axyl-os
idk what that is
Distro
an arch based distro?
Yeah
Does this distro use official arch repos?
Because the DKMS issue was apparently pahole related. That package was downgraded from 1.24-1 to 1.23-1. Reinstall the module and it should work.
The boot issue however...
You need to reinstall grub manually via 'grub-install' (not regen config!). https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GRUB#Installation
It sounds like you're going to need to boot from live and chroot to do this though.
Mount your root partition, and run arch-chroot from live environment. This is something you REALLY want to know how to do on arch or even arch based distros. Praise the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/chroot#Chrooting_into_an_existing_installation this endevour article may help also I think https://discovery.endeavouros.com/system-rescue/arch-chroot-for-efi-uefi-systems/2021/03/
Commit it to memory. My issue with calamares in a nutshell.
Yeah i did the grub install thing
Which broke it completely
I'm not even greeted by grub rescue or anything
I'm currently just doing a fresh install
Needed some help but idk if i should open a seperate issue for that
I had the exact same issue today,
