show me fdisk -l
which is the drive you want in the vm
my bad it wasnt in the screenshot
i get this error when i pick it in virtual machine manager
what does it do?
CHange OWNer
that doesnt work
why
anyways
did you guys know
you can point to the actual harddrives
it has to be a block device not a mountpoint
like just put /dev/sda for the path of the vm's disk
did i select the wrong options then? i dont know much about linux
i am literally brute forcing my way through setting up a computer rn
should i be picking disk instead?
that's just creating a pool
a pool is just a directory where youd want vm disks organized
but youre not going to use one
youre going to use an actual drive
just close those 2 window
and just put /dev/sda
Haven't read previous chat but just mount the hdd and put the path to the mount point
not what they want
was that supposed to fill up instantly or did i fuck something up
Shouldn't have said anything without reading chat
i said use the actual drive instead of making a vm disk
I thought i did
you didnt
did you point to /dev/sda?
delete the vm and the created virtual dosk in /var/lib/libvirt/images/pool
create a vm
choose iso one
point to your iso
when it asks for virtual disk
point to /dev/sda
show me a pic of what youre stuck in rn
change /hokehsjsidush
to /dev/sda
holy shit you can type in that window
the box implies that
