You don't need any if you do good system maintenance and practice good internet safety/opsec

I don't know how to clean the old files of applications and other things, I don't know if they are usually needed or no, something in-between? I am very aware of the space I use so that is why I am asking. There are files you just don't find if you are a human, at least that was my experience on windows. There were all types of files that were hard to find, delete and most of all, problematic to deal with because you didn't know the purpose they serve or served. Exclusion being /tmp/ and the windows temporary file place.

There is no realistic way to get rid of a lot of files that are really misc. without unnecessary time waste. I am a busy person and I do many things on my computer ranging from 1-10. So I wonder, if there are any good cleaning software, antiviruses ain't needed exactly.

Do you have any good cleaners for linux to recommend?

none

#

cleaner apps are bloat and leave you worse off than if you just didn't use any

#

there's the /tmp/ folder for temporary files, but as the name suggests, they are temporary and you won't ever have to manually delete them

#

you can clean pacman's cache but that is not recommended in case you need to roll back a package

#

about antiviruses - just practice good safety. make sure you know what you are installing and running on your machine and all that and you should be good

#

literally no one uses those apps on linux

#

i know there are antiviruses, but they are mostly used in corporate setting and are not meant for home use
