Thank you!
So I'm getting the waiting for IWD to start issue, and tried starting it through systemctl
But systemctl start IWD returns these error messages
hmmm

that looks like a disk issue

How can I check if my disk is ok?
I have no idea
Sorry
when I run into that issue on my main machine I ended up formatting my hdd
Your HDD?
So like
Not the USB drive, the disk on which my system will be installed?
did it happen on the usb?
yeah arch iso
you dont need to format your disk
redownload the iso and verify it before burning it to the usb
Okay
Ah
It's a brand new PC so there was no data on it
Oh I just need to re enable secure boot
How do I verify the iso?
I've got no clue what that means lol
Also pretty sure half the commands won't work since I'm doing it from Windows
check it's (e.g.)sha256 and compare it to the one on archlinux website
idk how to check sha256sum on windows but I'm pretty sure you can
Okay
Alright so I checked
And the keys are not the same
Which means the iso is wrong, right?
how did you checked?
and what did you check?
SHA256 or what?
SHA256 and MD5
Both were not the same
So I redownloaded an iso and checked, this time they were the same
SHA256 and MD5 should not be the same
No that's not what I meant
The SHA I got was not the same as the one I was supposed to get, same with the MD5
ether the iso is old or it is corrupted
np
make sure you unmount the usb before unplugging it, iso files get corrupted easily and if you don't unmount first, it will most likely be corrupted. On windows it's just right click it and 'eject'
and make sure it disappeared from the file manager before unplugging it
