The only steam cores we have are the one in the automaton and the one in the Coal Mine, which are on the west of the city and therefore opposite direction of where they are attacking

things are... not looking good
we had 9 more casualties, mainly constables.
The major problem is that they have started preparing to get on our walls - on the north and south they are making use of corpses of their fellow Floefolk and spears thrown at the wall to climb it, and the east has hundreds of people trying to break into the Trade Office and the Logistics Centre.
20 total have already entered the said buildings, the barricades we have there having slowed them down considerably - but it won't be enough to fully contain them. They might get into the city pretty soon.
Some of the garrison on our wall tried to get the location of the enemy elite shooter - they succeeded in determining where they are. They are located a little before the southern frozen river
But
Once they started aiming at the sniper, they got shot from the north. it seems like the enemy doesn't have just one shooter. Still, we could probably take the one we figured out the location soon as we find a position where we can't be hit from the north.
we did take out 30 of them by holding our defensive position on our walls, but with them starting to climb it, things are not looking good.
May our general, Nric Eueueueeee-, come up with a plan to get us out of this

We didn't take the time to look where their bullets ended up at

1 is possible but can be mitigated with testing
The wall gun could then be reinstalled at the trade office, allowing us to reallocate manpower and fending off any big assault
Idk if trade office is smart actually
Might have too many flanks depending on the layout

The wall is "thick" so you'd need to cut a whole where a person can enter to cut it fully on the other side
And then you'd need to cut a lot of holes every time the floefolk noticed the hole and avoided it

We could attempt to bring the gun down to us from the open place, using automaton
To use it inside when they'll breach in
But we have not much of chances
I proposed putting it in the trade office but it risks being flanked
For the automation, we need to run tests to make sure it doesn’t collapse the wall, but it should be possible

they will simply avoid it in urban warfare
we could camp it outside of the trade office and shoot anyone who comes through but they will quickly learn to avoid that
& they are actively scaling the walls

Plus we already know that the only point we need be ready to shoot at is Trade Office
once again they are scaling the walls
the conscripts will help with that but not forever and not well
and depending on where the snipers are they could shoot over the wall
We could... Throw flaming coal on the corpses they're climbing on, because all of them wear furs or other types of combustable clithes... And on those who climb with spears we could practice the same
Smog from blazing bodies wouldn't be healthy to breath in too

considering we have snipers picking people off I don't think it'd be wise to haul a shield of burning coals up and over the wall
I also can remember that Haber mentioned that to ice bodies for HoF we use certain tech
if it weren't for the snipers I'd totally employ this strategy
but we can't exactly guarantee their safety

I think our best course of action is to fend off horde while taking out snipers, then we'll be able to do a lot more

The main problem is that Trade Office won't hold long enough for this
And plus 100 on each side of the walls
the trade office is a good funnel we just have to limit the spread from the sides
If we won't stop them they'll eventualy make a passage and we won't be able to bayonet 300 people
And how do you propose we do it if they have snipers?

only so many can come out of that door
if we can staunch the flow and kill them as they pour out

current ideas (updated):
- conscript the neutrals and arm them with tools, position them at the points in the wall that are being scaled
- use all remaining gunpowder for makeshift grenades
- triangulate second sniper
- drop snow, coal dust, and ashes into their eyes
- shoot the piping at the trade center while routing additional steam there
- use the automaton to retrieve the wallgun

formulate this into smth cohesive
behind the walls:
We'll be changing all factory production to makeshift grenades using iron and the remainging gunpowder. This means we can't make new ammo for the duration of the battle, which should be fine due to how much we've already made
coal dust, snow, and generator ashes will be collected and given to neutrals conscripted to fend off wall scalers
once a large amount of frosties are in the trade center, Operators will reroute steam in excess to that building to blow it up and cause mass casualties
at the wall:
neutrals will be conscripted, handed makeshift weapons such as pickaxes, and then instructed to stay behind whatever cover they can find along the wall, and to keep frostlanders from climbing over it. They will be given the mixture of dust, ash and snow to throw in frostlander's eyes
riflemen will be given the grenades and instructed to aim for groups to cause maximum damage to their force
the automaton will attempt to take the wallgun back. at the first sight of strain on the gun, automaton, or wall, it will be recalled and instead placed to blockade the entrance to the trade office
should the wallgun be successfully recovered, we'll position it facing the trade office
wall riflemen will also try to either triangulate the second sniper or find cover from the sniper to the north and attempt to take the sniper from the south out

the only plan i can think of is just complete chaotic psychological warfare with a mixed of pseudo-religious Hannibal lecter like zealotry
