there are a total of 29 vanguards

  • I want the 5 in hospital to remain in the hospital
  • I want 5 to do a workplace rally at the factory to improve the amount and quality of everything made there until the hostiles arrive
  • I want 8 to be garrisoned on the wall as lookouts
  • the 1 in inst will stay
  • the last 10 will, if possible, once again try to rally the public to improve morale before the battle, like what I tried to do right before the duke.
    this adds up to 29

30 minutes before the attackers are expected to arrive, I want every vanguard except institute and hospital vans to be garrisoned on the wall

In the distance, they approach

First comes the supposed Revenants Revenants... that once they get close enough, we are able to recognise Jincent.

Once they get to a closer distance to the wall... smoke bombs explode, and they rush to the city's walls. It doesn't seem like an attack... and more like they are trying to get away from the people behind them. Some other bombs are also thrown at the enemies behind them, but... they don't seem to have been ablt to injure any of them in any meaningful way.

As they do so, spears rain down on the Revenants Revenants; only 2 of them survive and get inside, their survival being basically nothing when compared to the original 20 that were guiding the enormous frostlander group. The Operator's vehicle is still outside, probably too damaged from the spears to be useable. The "horde" of Frostlanders outside the city is giant; their numbers also seem different from the radio's estimate... They are around 600 or so.

From the 2 Revenants Revenant survivors, one of them is Jincent; but his lower abdomen has been pierced by a steel spear from the enemy, and its still stuck halfway through him. We don't know if he'll live, but he's still conscious to be able to tell us what he knows.

For now, those outside the city haven't commenced their assault. But our wall gun is ready, and help should, in theory, arrive in around 11 hours...

The only vote this turn will be if we strike first against the enemy.

Week 65; 13:30

The first wave of attacks was is finished... both sides have casualties

We managed to deal with around 50 Floefolk before the Vanguards Vanguard manning the Wall Gun was shot - apparently from afar and not from the main group that is in front of the city. the angle of the shot means that it came from the south... the other 2 Vanguards Vanguards that tried to take control of it ended up getting shot, and other 2 that were garrisoning the wall also ended up killed

The positive is that they managed to use their rifles a bit while taking cover, dealing with another 10 enemies.

The main group started to move, a larger portion of it walking forward, and other two smaller groups going to the sides of our city.

The Marksmen far away seem to experienced, and have some kind of camouflage on the snow that makes it difficult for us to see them.

Now, the Crown suggested Haber City to appoint a main General to deal with our military, or rather, the Cornish Branch of the military that will be established here in Haber City, while we decide how to react to the enemy's movements. They won't be the only ones making decisions, but we will be holding their word with high regard. There is not much actual power in this position, but having some kind of structure/hierarchy should help making things more organised...

we have 16 Vanguards with rifles, 10 Constables (which includes 2 vanguards) and 13 Tusks

The other 10 Handguns have been handed to the Operators, and other 20 of them in the factory are focusing on trying to slow down how fast we run out of ammo

so, in total, 49 combatants to command

from the original 800 to 1000 we had once the conflict started, we are now down to around 750.
