I’m looking to have the Rush Sonic model imported over Luigi in New Super Mario Bros. DS as a fully playable character replacement. Mainly I want the normal gameplay and animations to work properly on both emulator and real hardware.

Ideally I’d also like the character files to be reusable so I can import the Sonic replacement into other NSMB DS hacks later.

At the moment I’m mainly looking for:

Luigi replaced with Rush Sonic
working animations/rigging
proper in-game model + textures
compatibility with standard NSMB DS hacks if possible

as Illy said before, nobody willingly makes custom player models because it's a nightmare

If I was to sort out the rigging and reskins for the power ups and models, would anyone at least be willing to inject him into the game
