I feel like that these would only be fun for people who are extremely skilled at the game

like 95% of the players aren’t really gonna be able to partake in these sorts of tournaments if it’s purely based off of skill

Tournaments are all but impossible to run fairly without favoring some group of people. A mod-run tournament also wouldn’t work very well here because of the size of the server. It would probably be best for any interested players to organize smaller tournaments amongst themselves.

Adding to what Yuni said, potential-based brackets are actually quite problematic for tournaments. They are easy to cheat and due to the way they work, there would be considerable incentive for players to want to cheat.

No dont do it based on skill points
