It's "friendly" because it can be made and used in a Survival world, although it will be expensive to build. The system powers itself, but you will want to have a way to "jump start" it in case it shuts down for any reason.
Power Generation
After accounting for power that feeds back into the system to power itself, it still generates 5.64 MFE/t.
Bio Fuel Numbers (Nerd Stuff)
Needs about 240 Cloches from Immersive Engineering to keep up with the Bio Fuel production rate (1 melon = 9 melon slices, 9 slices = 36 Bio Fuel). 2 Bio Fuel per operation in the Pneumatic Reaction Chamber, 2 operations per second, 51 PRCs = 204 Bio Fuel/second... so I need ~5.67 melons/second to keep up (204/36) or 1 melon every 0.177 seconds. IE Cloche takes 800 ticks (40 seconds) to grow a melon, so to grow 1 every 0.177 seconds I need about 226 Cloches (40/0.177).
Honestly you can use a compacting drawer to go from melon to slice directly, but I was trying to "keep it in the family" and use Mekanism machines to cut the slices. It doesn't make much of a difference.
How it works
The "clean" setup of this build is only possible because of the Quantum Entangloporter. This lets me feed Bio Fuel, Hydrogen, Water, and Power into the PRCs from a single face. I still need a separate face each for Ethylene and Substrate to get out of the machines, but it's still super compact. The Entangloporters run up the middle of the stack of PRCs, all set to export items, gas, fluid, and power from its sides.
512 mB/t hydrogen production
510 mB/t ethylene production (max speed PRC = 10 hydrogen consumed per tick, 10 ethylene produced)
510 / 6.4 mB max burn rate on GBG = 79.68 GBG, I just did 79
79 * 72192 RF/t = 5.7 MRF/t
