First off,for angles you have to show more dimensions for the face

The neck does do a slight curve at some angles

And it's best to make a rough sketch of all the body shapes you'll use so it's up to scale !!

It was a good attempt! I like the character really.

Guidelines are a BIG life saver. Circle, a triangle basically off the circle to make an odd looking ice cream cone. With the neck, to make it more natural looking, start inward and start to curve your way outward. Doesn’t need to be anything too detailed. Also try and start adding character to your character’s clothing. You’ll thank me later! Look at LOTS of references, art videos, maybe you have artist friends who can help. Improvement takes time and just because you may do something someone else is doing it’s not going to be a complete replica. Love your art style, get comfortable with it, and continue to improve.

Taking the pose as a reference is fine but tracing is lining it up almost perfectly so if the drawing matches so close it just looks suspicious. You also didn't give credit to the drawing so if you did that it would've been ok.
