I scrolled up for a little bit out of curiosity and I noticed a lot of anime talked about here are mostly recent. I want to share one of my favorite animator/directors, Satoshi Kon. He died far too soon; I fell in love with his work and found out he passed. He left behind 5 great masterpieces, 4 of which are animated films: Perfect Blue, Paprika, Millenium Actress, and Tokyo Godfathers.

His surreal, time-bending work heavily inspired films like Black Swan and Inception. Paprika is my favorite but Perfect Blue is a close second (not for the faint of heart/ easily offended)

Just thinking about it, I need at least two of these as physical media lol
