I was just wondering is top tier ground, France, worth the pain of getting to it. I'm currently at 7.7 and I don't know if I should continue.

A bit late to the party but France is amazing at the low-mid BR. Grinding it myself rn
From 3.3 on it keeps getting better and better with 7.7 being by far some of the best line ups, especially if you have the somua.
8.0 is super fun, especially if you have the AMX50 TO90 but the TT stuff is also really nice. I really liked the AMX 30 in the end even though it looks kinda 💩 on paper.
8.3 is also nice, especially the MARS and if you figure out the 10RC (it has the funny suspension for extra gun depression) and I liked the fast missiles on the ACRA (but its still a missile only tank so mot the greatest)
8.7 was, tbh a bit of a mixed bag. You have insane things, if you get them to work. But thats hard considering you have no stabs while everyone gets them and they have autocannons. Mephisto is fun, SK-105 is fun and DCA is super busted.
9.3 went from "i hate every second of this" to "this is actually pretty good!".
Most of the stuff there is just pretty terrible stock so mind that. Oh, the AMX 32s are rather slow considering they have no armor. 120 gets ESS and thermals though which is always a great combo. You also can stick the alpha jet in there to farm some free kills. The VBCI (magnificent machine) will get that plane out in no time at all... or just give you nukes cause light tank with insane speed and viable gun.
10.0 is where im at rn but I heard the amx40 is great (not sure how it does after it got moved up though)
Top tier France is still pretty strong to my knowledge.
