Regarding kicking out tank crews, that is just practice and memorization in protection analysis to understand where you can pen with the ammo you’re using

It really depends on the player and the enemies. Playing more defensive means capitalizing or at least relying on the enemy to make mistakes and letting the game come to you. This works really well if you know when, how, and where you need to play around cover and time to not get overwhelmed and still have game impact. Playing more aggressive means you’re going to be forcing the enemy to make mistakes and you are trying to dictate the flow of the game or the timing of mistakes made by the enemies. This is best if you’re in something quick, but also if you’re trying to exert control vs staying alive.
Also, fwiw, a lot of YouTubers, will play a bit differently than normally for content bc they only have one or two vehicles in many cases and want to make long form content that is more entertaining
