Climb like bloody hellfire at the start, not much else can
I think I talked about German props here?
If not, the footage shows for itself
Oh boy its been a long time since I flew the 109 G-14 and like a fine french wine or scotch whisky its only gotten better with age.
30mm's are still beast and very few expect them!
I try this but american dual engine fighters outclimb me every time
side climb, 12 degrees until 10,000ft, 7degrees after that. Wep until rad's are red then cool to 98% throttle till they are fine again
Remember too that things like the p38 get air spawns which gives them the advantage at first but long term you will do better. It’s also useful to look the planes you’re facing a lot and if you can out turn them or out energy them. The 109 is a little bit of a jack of all trades but a master of none. It’ll often have something it does better than the plane you’re up against will usually give you better odds
the 190s arent very competitive and a high skill level is needed to play them well
109s climb quite well, there is usually no need to side climb
the optimal climb for the f4, g2 is around 270kph ias
the later ones are 280
know what you can dogfight and what you cant dogfight
the f4 is more of a dogfighting 109
the rest start to become more boom and zoom fighters
