Having a lot of trouble with breaking even 5.3

I have always struggled with breaking even but up until now i could it it pretty comfortably, im playing usa 5.3 ground realistic and im having a lot of trouble not getting killed and getting kills, i sit at 14k SL with 2 vehicles to buy totaling around 340k worth. Any tips to being a better player in general? Thanks!

I'd say don't play 5.3 until you get some other good stuff to bring in, at least the first 76 m4. Just sit with 2.7 or 3.3 and research the 3.7 stuff for the next line up, I add in the 4.0 m4 instead of going only 3.7.

4.0 US is amazing so id play that until i can afford the 76 shermans

You already have 2.7 and 3.3, unless you haven't crewed them you're good to go

Just play reserve a lot I guess, dabble with different Nations until you get the money

Start grinding other nations and hoard SL.
And when the next seasonal discount comes by, buy all the vechicles you researched.

It will help you in 2 ways:
-You will get a complete lineup instead of just individual vechicles
-It will save you a ton of SL
+1 You can learn a lot about your main lineup by playing against it. You will find out first hand how you perform against other nations, and what are your weaknesses, by seeing other US mains either do mistakes or play well

My advice in general: dont stick with only one nation, ideally progress with as many techtrees as you can

You will get slower to Toptier, but when you do you will have much more insight and experience and you will do better

I would say play the lower tiers first and I hate to say it, but playing arcade could actually help you with the sl, also air arcade could also net you a decent profit if you shoot people down

This is the lineup I use, usually i net 60k SL (no premium)/match

switch the P-47D-25 to the D-28 if you have it.

Mind most of my kills are with HVAR;s so my earning potential is limited by about 60%

The Breda is actually my favourite vechicle probably in the whole game

I even take it with my 5.7 team and does just fine in a full uptier

I like a well rounded Rocket CAS plane

Seafire FR 47, Sea Fury, Sea Hawk (When it was 7.7...), Venom and Vampire... Meateor Mk 8... Attacker Mk 1 is ok... So 8000, 262 Jabo... P-51's (admittedly not very well rounded, but passable), 190 F-9, A6M6c... A21A-3 looks like its rockets are pretty good... CL-13's n Sabers,,, F-84's are passable, F9F's and F2H-2 are ok

I dont play much above Top Teir from when I enjoyed Top Teir back in 1.69 so cant say much about anything else

though SuperSonics was pretty good update, reasonable balance too (in comparison to the rest of the "balance" at the time)

Orange made a War Thunder's longest matches close to the time where top tier was really good I think it was at 8.3 of the time.
Well balanced and good fun, and accessable to the masses rather than the ultra ULQ high FPS crap thats here nowadays

ikr :/ I went from 200fps recording/streaming at 4k to <30 for months before I re-overclocked my PC :/

its stable now at 90fps whilst recoding 1080p and streaming 720p
