Sadly I dont have the time or money required to grind an entire tree without any premium things and all I want from this game is F-16 so do you have any good suggestions ?

Tbh. Buy a tier 5 premium jet. Learn to fly it, then test fly the three and pick your fav

That was what I originally planned to do but with the state of my countrys economy I could barely save 40 dollars for war thunder so my only option is buying one of these jets

Damn. Then just test fly them, pick the best one for u. And MAKE SURE TO WATCH YOUTUBE TUTORIALS. This can help you get more info on the way of jets. Make sure to get key binds so you aren’t useless to your team. Sorry for that

F-5 has realllly high skill level

#

A-10 is brain dead easy to play

A6-E TRAM is not that good

F-5C is probably the easiest

#

A-10 is slow, great missiles and alot of flares but you cant dogfight for shit unless you get into a scissor match with a slow and stupid plane

I been using the tech tree A-10 and been doing Fantastic in it even stock with 2 9Ls like the prem has you can out turn like everything so easy to dodge and have flares for days and at 10.0 if you get down tier that happens quite a bit you can get 2 kills with the 9Ls and gun kills or CAS ground

The problem is money I want to play American top tier jets and the only 2 games that are good at flight sim is DCS or War Thunder.As I said above I dont have any money to invest in a DCS setup and dlcs so War Thunder is my only choice even though I really want to play DCS

Thats fair, but you are either going to have to invest in DCS (Pretty sure you dont need a HOTAS setup) or youre going to have to grind USA

I’d say either the f-5c or the a6e are your best bets, a10 is a bit of a sitting duck with a baseball bat, sure it can hurt if you get close enough, but you also have a big gun

Probably the a6e because it has the better research bonus

And glorious aim9Ls at a better speed then a-10

As a update I have bought the F-5C now and I am having so much fun even though I can only kill 1 person lol and the rp gain is huge compared to props so thank you all for your recommendations

As a F5-C player now, it is by far a great choice

#

For me playing it for less than 3 hrs, i have grinded all the way to rank 5 from rank 3

It is great if you max your crew and also, using prem time is hreat
