In air or ground?
arb
Focus on ground targets for the most part, your guns can take out tanks and light units on most maps, you can also use rockets and bombs for the light pillboxes if needed. Watch out for the AI AA, since they are nasty atm, and the IL-2 1942 can surprise people with its maneuverability, granted, you shouldn't be dogfighting spitfires or 109s, but you can still maneuver well for what it is
yeah i love the movement on it its so broken and it can tank shots
and thanks
and what if i want to just purely fight planes not AI
the 1941 version is pretty nice in just fights but in the 1942 the 23s feel weird
and what rounds should i use because when i was using the 1941 and the yak2kabb the tracer rounds (most belt with HE) felt like garbage and wasnt that effective imo
Air targets for the 20/23mm, and tracers for the 7.62mm, that's my personal go to. Now, I don't think you can take a clean wing loadout, so if you can't take the lightest bombload, and drop them once you are away from the friendly airfield
in the il2 you can indeed take nothing
Awesome! I hadn't played it in a while, so I didn't remember if you could do that xD
and what rockets should i take?
Usually the larger caliber ones with the better explosive mass, but the others can work too since you're sticking to ARB
i will bring into grb but im spading it in arb and thanks for the help!
No worries! In the case of GRB, if you aren't good with the rockets, just leave them and stick to the bombs and guns xP
