how do I get better at spotting in GRB?

I’ve started play GRB recently and constantly get surprised by enemies virtually materializing in front of me, how would I know if they are coming or going to shoot?

The virtually materializing in front can be down to the game or servers being strange to say the least

but in cases where the game works normally, you just need to work on your situational awareness, more so than Tank AB or Air RB, where you have markers

That sort of thing is something that takes a while to get better at

No worries! The low to mid tiers for GRB is a great place to practice your situational and map awareness, but once you get it down, it'll be very helpful in the long run!

Turn the sound up

Listen for engines

Until they break the sounds again at least

Also be aware of everything going on.

If you have a friendly in front of you and they get shot, there's an enemy around that area. Look for tracers and smoke from shots, keep eyes peeled for trees falling over, all to get a general feel for where enemies are.

That narrows down where you need to look.

Also consider general movement patterns. Enemies tend to drive from the zone they just capped to the next zone they need to cap, so they will probably be somewhere between those two points. Stuff like that really helps.

Always look at the Mini map at the start of the game and think about which road the enemy will take when driving out of their spawn. Also know what tanks the enemy at your BR has and what tanks always get you killed. I also had the problem of enemys coming out of nowhere, but knowing the maps better really helped alot.

Also the M18 Hellcat is an exception since it always appears out of nowhere
