The firefly and the cromwell hull with a 17 pounder both have insanely good guns. They can punch very well above their weight, so you wont struggle in uptiers in going through the common weakspots on tanks you will face. These are spots such as the panthers mantlet, tigers lower hull when angled or simply his upper plate when not, turret cheeks on the IS series, lower plate on them, the little hull cheeks etc. On jumbos, the MG port is your best bet, if you are slightly above them go for the UFP. The firefly is fairly slow, in terms of a medium tank. The armour on the brit tanks are decent, but you will still be penned by any of the medium tank cannons at your br. The avengers mobility forwards is great, with neutral steering. Reverse is terrible. The churchill 7 is slow, with an underpowered gun and great armour IN A 5.0 AND BELOW match. At 5.3 you start seeing scary things so I do not recommend taking that out. In general, play relaxed, at range, using your guns to effectively slam tanks from afar 🙂

Brits tend to have good reload speeds too, only real outlier is the Comet

you can use it to your advantage by setting up in pockets where enemies will drive past you and you can pretty much one tap everyone, if not seriously maim their tank

I would definitely not rely on the armour at all, you will bounce a shot or two depending on what you're facing but really only the Churchill's have any kind of staying power but they suffer from poor firepower instead. Not getting shot/seen and shooting the other guy first is much better for survivability than anything else you can do.

Definitely take some time to learn where to shoot enemies, know which ones you can one-shot and know which ones you can't. And for those you can't one-shot you need to learn which order to take your shots in: do you knock out their mobility first or do you knock out their ability to fire back first?

The 17 pounder has fantastic range for its BR so definitely take some time practicing longballing shots, you can get a lot of free kills that way on enemies trying mega flanks

That doesn't mean you can't bounce shots though, especially the track plating on the Fireflies adds quite a bit more protection

And the Avenger os just weird

Oh yeah it happens, I just wouldn't rely on it the way a heavily armoured tank can. I can't remember if it was the Firefly or the Sherman II but I had a game on Sweden where I bounced six consecutive shots (I had been tracked on a corner) in it.

Most of the time you get one-shot though, or at least disabled enough from the first shot that you can't do anything but wait for the follow up

My stock answer is:

  1. Don’t rush your shots. The number of times I’ve blown a good ambush…
  2. Fuse the killfeed and mini map to know what’s killing your teammates where
  3. Use headphones and memorize engine sounds (and make sure your engine sound is turned down all the way)
  4. Know when you either need to run away from a fight you won’t win or reposition instead of repeeking

Oh hey, that’s a nice acronym. DFUK as in “dfuk, how did I just die”

understand angling and armor weakspots. with time you will be able to start accurately guesstimating ranges but this comes with experience. I would also recommend branching out into the different nations tech trees (the Big 3 especially) to understand the tanks at your BR better. Also this might sound silly but watching youtube and listening to what the uploader is saying along with trying to spot targets on their screen and trying to use game sense for the situations theyre in will help immensely in GRB battles, and will also give you much more map knowledge.

My gamecraft improved a ton after I started watching bawz for sure

Have you watched Oxy’s vehicle reviews? They’re super informative, and I always play better after watching his gameplay. Mans absolutely methodical in how he fights.

Bawz is usually playing for entertaining footage more than he’s trying to just max out his K/D ratio. Unless he gets mad oddSKULL
