the ping depends on the HOST
NOT on the internet speed of a person
given even IF you have a good internet connectivity-n-speed, you will still be suffering from a high ping solely because of the geographical distance between you-n-the host
I saw shibe's video of the weekly custom matches, he is having 33-46 ms in that whereas me-n-my friends are having 150+ (IF we are lucky) and usually it's from 150 to 220 (with de-sync, and IF we are lucky then without the de-sync)
I am in South Asia but it's not just me, everyone else is suffering from it too
the only people who get a good ping are Malaysians/Singaporeans/Indonesians, why so? It's because of Piston, he hosts the room. ||we do love him though, he is a cool dude, thanks for being there for us buddy||
I would love to play on 36-44 ms, but I get it that ain't possible.
What I am suggesting is to have the custom room matches in rotation, and let other moderators from another part of Asia make the room or even Europe.
For example, let Sha (hope) or Quendi (bunk), or Ban Pan 2.0 (Zynab) host the room in Asia at times.
the rotation is important, ping is almost everything for a good player.
It's near impossible to win with 220 ms and de-sync in comparison to those who are having 36 ms.
so yes, let other people host the room, from different regions, yet should be located in Asia, and the same goes for Europe.
