If that does not work, please clear game data of the game one time and reset your device app preferences through device Settings > System > Reset options > Reset app preferences. I am facing unbearable lag when my device heats up in my Iphone 13 pro. It begins soon after i play 30 minutes or more. I also face lag when i try to switch my mic on and off. Before, i used to play with zero lag on my iphone 7 and iphone X even if the device heats to its extreme but I don’t know whats wrong now. I even contacted the Apple store to diagnosis my phone and there is no problem with my phone as well then i tried in my another phone Iphone 13 pro max as well but same thing happened. I tried contacting the pubg developer a lot but couldn’t find the way to contact. The apple support was so helpful that i talked with them for almost 2 hours and diagnosed my entire phone but got nothing and they suggested me to contact the app developer itself.

There's nothing like a server lag, it could be possible that you all group together in a custom room or something like that in classics, it usually will happen when a fast moving object appears in game like an aeroplane, or many people moving at the same time and closer the people, more the problem.
low end devices are more prone to this, even high end Android devices and will experience frame drops in such conditions
