It leads you to the kitchen where you eat a dish of haggis and where I noticed the clock. Then you get the benelah and they say something like "That's all you need to find a haggis". I'm telling you, this missions are only clues. Not the spawn trigger.

the clues lead to good theories but the theories are busted by haggis already found

theres been players who have literally done jack crap whove got it

just loaded up did a couple missions and boom

I think honestly IF anything....after you complete mission #2...the end of it leads you into Haggis territory, and just crossing into the top 2/3 of the map is what triggers it's spawn.

yea i think so, maybe its just the mechanic is different, mission wise, it spawns random spot random zone times and then u just have to hunt downwind till u find the sucker

instead of how usual missions work where the animal spawns in the same spot everytime you go in a certain spot during the mission

Yep, which is why I think this method will work. We know the feed times. We know it stays hopping from feed zone to feed zone walking very slowly in a small area from Mel studying it's behavior today. IF yours is spawned in, this is how you will find it I promise.

i doubt, i think for sure its just spawns random off mission two, and the other hints to getting it are just to tell us about its behavior somehow

the bushes alone hide feral goats almost completely when standing

Yup, binos won't even spot small animals very far off but you can spot almost anything at 450yds(render distance) with the Odin.

Basically all of the outposts in the 3 regions Haggis have been found in. Every single one of them has clues.

Something that ties into the Haggis lore, or the mission dialogue, or Vivi's Poem.

It has to be something. There's things everyhwere in only those regions that tie into Haggis, that aren't found elsewhere. Most of the houses in the North have been ransacked too which is kinda weird, when the southern ones are mostly kept up and neat.

I completed the main missions, a few side missions and took a two day break from the game. Yesterday, I came back to play and started my hunt at the top right outpost. Found him nearby just eating, it was my 3rd or 4th animal spotted that session

Fingers crossed, it is a really unique creature. The animations of it are also so awesome, those will definitely go underrated by other players

We have literally all the info we need to find them, the only missing puzzle piece is what exactly spawns them which I think is something simple. Whether it's just mission 2, or whether missions aren't even required. Just do mission 2 and go searching! Junbra is the GOAT for allowing Mels to document and take the Haggis!

Definitely a theory that's been thrown around and tested. It was specifically a Red Deer in that mission. Tested a bunch of stuff but haven't found anything conclusive. A lot of the people that have found them have had either Red Deer or Sika Deer, and Red or Black Grouse in ther latest harvests.

After all the awesome info from Mel and Junbra, I think this search method is gonna finally get my haggis. The way it Feeds>Travels>Feeds>Travels all in a fairly close together range. Just searching these areas at their feed time which is basically all day, 10-12 is the most common time reported. I think I'll get it.

I've only heard the Bagpipe warning call so far on all vids and clips. It's been reported they have a second call that sounds like a screeching cat/bird noise, but not confirmation of that. Someone could have just been hearing the end of a Black Grouse call which sounds like a screeching cat.

Well yeah, I'm just using it as clue and have noticed that pretty much none of them grow up on the steep parts of mountains, only in the smaller rolling hills. Basically encircling the mountains, which coincidentally is where all of the haggis have been found.

I've unlocked everything on the map, done all missions. Found 95% of every single feed/rest zone on my map, and still after 95 hours of searching haven't found mine.

ive mainly been focusing on that top right zone

ive seen two on the almost exact same spot now

junbras and someone elses on the cross road side of it

so maybe there is a spawn point there

then its just down to time

Mel studied them and they don't roam far to the next feed zone, she even had one on the same feed zone at 2 different times. I think they're like other animals that have home ranges.

Those circles I believe are pretty close to what their home ranges might be from the clusters of finds there.

I think this is how it works. We don't know what gives the initial spawn trigger. Once it does though it's on your map. You can leave and it'll still be there(mel confirmed this). They eat every 2 hours all day and night, and get a specific home range. After you kill the first one, I think it respawns just like every other animal but with a long respawn timer. They have different trophy ratings, furs, and potential dimes which I feel supports that along with Ben saying "I wonder who will be the first double haggiser".
