I brought this up earlier but it seems like they have been making it very clear that haggis are carnivores. What if we placed a lot of feeders with meet scraps in them and because there are no bears if the percent goes down that means that there is a haggis on the map

i dont like using pointers since i dont like sneaking up on animals and you have to do that for it to work

and if you dont drop the animal it doesnt give full exp and just says "prey spooked"

-Go to the Standing Stones and find the view where the Stones line up with the mountain peaks.
-Go to the Fishing Village and do the Titanic thing on the bow of a boat (it actually does something when you do this).
-Shoot the Haggis.

I shot the most recent haggis I’m not sure what causes it to spawn but all I did is buy the DLC I started playing and doing the story missions while doing it I shot 2 red foxes then a sika deer then a mountain hair and then it showed up next to a flock of grouse during the (where there’s smoke…) part of the quest.

I did change my class once to add a 2-6 rifle when I got to the first outpost.

you’re clearly very new to the game, that’s not how it works

how latest harvests work is it records your latest 20 harvests. if someone only has 4 entries in their latest harvests and nothing below it it means there has been only 4 animals harvested on that save period. it isnt map based so it doesnt change when you switch maps, and you can't reach lvl 22 without harvesting more than 4 things

Well, I can say from someone who helps enter submissions for competitions, have participated in hundreds of competitions for both Angler and Hunter. Anywhere that would not be accepted. Lvl 22 account. On Xbox. 4 animals in his codex period. 55k cash, and his 4th animal is a Haggis...the rarest animal in the game. I'm sorry, but the burden of proof is not on us. It's on the person posting to prove it's real.

Since you saved it it should go into saved harvest. Anytime you harvest an animal period though, save it, take the cash instead, taxidermize it. Period. It goes into latest harvests.

Don't hunt while wearing a backpack if that was something you were doing. They get spooked easily. Could be why that number is inflated. That or your spending too much time on the ATV. Strip down to bare essentials, go for a walk (against the wind), and enjoy what you see and harvest.

Whatever causes it to spawn is super simple, and the only thing I’ve seen that links everybody’s together is it is shot in the afternoon and they had at least started the main story quest because they are shot all over the map on every hillside there’s no one location

That's illogical. What if an event can trigger more than one haggis? Perhaps one of the landmarks triggers a haggis, maybe getting a Diamond triggers one, the use of a dog does, or the use of a certain class 2 weapon does. See where I'm going with this? There are so many variables...have to test them all.

That's possible, but I think it's something way easier. Something you won't even know you've done. Something that every single player will end up doing. You have to think about this....They made a cryptid animal for the first time ever. A special animal that everyone is going to want.

They're not going to make some convoluted way that only a handful of people are going to have a chance at, and exclude everyone else that bought the map. It's going to be a new mechanic to spawn them in, but not something just totally out there like You must first go squat on a stone in the river, then shoot 2 red deer in Heighrig, then go to the cave at 03:00 and aim at the holy grail with the benelhag shotgun. After that, you must go run counter-clockwise 7 times around the standing stones.
