Yeah, about a year ago I went on every single map, did all main missions, and unlocked every outpost and structure, and tried to find all my initial spawns on every map.

My only 2 that aren't fully searched are Askiy, and Salz.

I made the mistake of setting up a Mulie grind on Askiy 2 days after release, and still don't have a G1. 🙁

Took like a 6 month break from the mulies though, still at 1900 kills on them though.

My best theory is it's saying MISSION, and the number 2. Dha in scottish is 2, and one of the species of Haggis is called Dah. Also there's a french animal that does the clockwise and counter clockwise thing too named Dahu. My theory is that "You may see 2" means you see one in the Hat mission(unlocks the haggis), and the 2nd one you see is the one you find.

Official Haggis Lore (TM) says otherwise. But counter-clockwise haggi can only breed with other counter-clockwise haggi. There's no interbreeding between the types, because they'd just fall off each other!

I have a knew theory on how to detect a haggis on your map. What if you put feeders at all the spots the have been shot and fill them up with meat scraps for bears. Since there are no bears they will stay at 100% and if a haggis is truly a carnivore they might eat it and you can check if you feeders go down and if they do, you have a haggis on your map

Considering the large player base that will be grinding for the great one boat on that map and will be changing the time a lot .. I don’t think the devs would make that a factor as it would take away the opportunity completely from grinders which is still a totally valid way to play

maybye it has something to do with deer harvests. One person said before they found the haggis, they had shot a number of species, one of which was roe deer, plus the game mentions deer is their natural prey. This is jst a shot in the dark though
