#A Peru Shooting Park, the Andean Salzwiesen

With Salzwiesen Park, we saw a smaller scale map that was not only super fun but gave us a snapshot of an area we were familiar with from Revontuli and Hirschfelden but had an identity all its own, and opened an opportunity to use this same game design to give us other snapshots into other places (An Arkansas Duck and Goose map for example for those that want N.A. ducks but not another whitetail or black bear map) with my idea being Peru.

Peru is a lesser known treasure of the hunting world, mainly due to Argentina and Uruguay’s prevalence due to exotic species, but matches both in wing and small game shooting.

Species:
Cinnamon Teal
Andean Crested Duck
White-Cheeked Pintail
Chilean Wigeon
Blue-Winged Teal
Nutria Rat
Andean Goose
Orinoco Goose
Red-Legged Partridge
West Peruvian Dove
Inca Dove
Andean Tapeti
Vischacha
Ring-Necked Pheasant
Collared Peccary

Peru is lacking in predators to hunt due to the legality of it, but just from a list the same length as Salzwiesen we can get several new species that can actually be built from existing models in the case of a lot of the ducks (Blue Wing can be reskinned Greens, Crested can be reskinned wood duck, and White-Cheeked can be Northern, even Nutria from Beaver).

You can have the map split in half with the mountainous region holding the uplands, geese, and the vischacha while the other half is like the clear marshes of Salzwiesen.

All else aside, Peru is an interesting idea if they wanna do another Shooting Park like Salzwiesen, a smaller map chock full of small game and South American style

Also wanna note that some of these species can also be back dated into other maps, like the Blue-Wings going onto Mississippi Acres and maybe Silver Ridge Peaks as well (funnily enough their range does not cover Layton or New England). The Red-Legged Partridge can go onto Cuatro Colinas and Rancho, with the last suggestion being to put Beavers on all other N.A. maps since they are endemic to essentially the entirety of Canada and the US.

This could be interesting for a smaller South American Map

There are a few things I should mention though
• Nutria don’t live in Peru at all, they are mainly found in Southern South America, but I offer an alternative in the Lowland Paca (A rodent for a rodent)
• While Peru does lack legally huntable predators, so does Nepal and yet Sundarpatan has Bengal Tiger and Snow Leopard, for a reserve like this the Ocelot would work for the lowlands and Culpeo Fox (sort of the South American equivalent to the Coyote) for the mountains
• While Collared Peccary does make sense, if their is one big game animal I think of when it comes to hunting in Peru, its the Andean White-tailed Deer, which is a smaller subspecies found in the mountains of Peru and would be exclusive to the mountains
