I don't get why the 45-70 is good for class 4-9 but the .450 is only good for class 4-7... Even tho the .450 is a bit more powerful than the 45-70. I think it should be fixed

They should rework the entire ammo system. There are alot of ammo types which either perform similar to others while covering different classes and there are some which are to weak to effectively cover their classes

the .450 Bushmaster irl is nowhere near as powerful as handloaded 45-70 (which can be just as powerful as 375 H&H) but the .450 could be buffed to 4-8

Well yeah I do know what's a 45-70 lol. I was comparing it to the 450 Marlin, not bushmaster. You're right when you say the game makes it weaker than it actually is. Tho it's weaker than .338 and even .300 win mag in term of energy... I meant no offense with what I said. I kinda misunderstood that they put the 450 bushmaster instead of the 450 marlin. Which would have been nice cuz they didn't do justice to the 45-70.

The round that "won the west" is actually the .44-40 Winchester (or .44 WCF) because it could be used both in a Winchester 1873 lever action as well as a Colt single action army. That made it the practical for frontiersmen, lawmen, and cowboys to carry so they only had to carry one type of ammo. This interchangability made it the most popular round at that time. 44 caliber bullet with 40 grains of powder. The 45-70 (45 caliber bullet with 70 grains of powder) was predominantly a military round and for hunting Bison as well as being the most popular round for big game animals but wasnt the "round that won the west"
