I now have actively played the map for a few months and feel like I can give good feedback now

-map layout
I think the map layout is very good, the different biomes make the map feel diverse but still real, it felt fun exploring.

-size
I think the small size fits the concept of only having small game very well.

-animal roster
I think it is decent, the animal species already ingame were chosen well, especially raccoon dog and raccoon in this new environment make for a thrilling hunt.
The new duck species were a good choice for the environment. However I feel like a cupple more new species like barnacle goose, European badger or gray partridge would have benefited the map greatly.

-new species
The two new species species, ferruginous duck and gadwall are decently unique for ducks, they are modeled well. I found there rares rather mediocre with no hybrids or other interesting rares existing like there are for many of the ducks made for revontuli.

-missions
The missions were very bad with no real stuff to do and us finding out close to nothing about Salzwiesen parks backstory.

-great one grinding
I'm not much of a grinder but the map is best for grinding both new great ones and I enjoyed hunting the pheasants.

-skeet shooting
The skeet shooting ranges proves a fun challenge with many different settings, it is very well suited for getting better at shot gun shooting and multiplayer skeet shooting competitions.

Hello @upper girder ! Thanks for the detailed feedback - we really appreciate you taking the time after playing the map for a few months!

We're glad you enjoyed the layout, size, and overall feel of the environment. It's great to hear the animal roster and new duck species added to the experience, and your suggestions for additional species are noted and appreciated.

We hear your thoughts on the missions and rare variants - thanks for the honesty. That kind of feedback helps us a lot as we look to improve future content. If you have further thoughts to share, we'd love to hear from you at: https://support.thehunter.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

I absolutely love Salz but since the roster got announced i’ve been super disappointed not having badgers present

although this map is one of my favorites i think it could have had a bit more species to hunt on the land, euro hare or roe deer for example

Personally I would’ve liked to see a small population of Sika Deer on the map as they are an invasive species in Germany and thrive in Salt Marshes, but I understand that it’s a small game map and Sika are more Medium Game.

That, but I'd also like to see roe deer. I understand the idea behind the park is small game but with so much farmland the lack of highly adaptable small deer feels very strange. I can accept that larger species wouldn't care for the constant work and human presence but in my experience deer get used to it and adapt their preferences for it. You'll see herds of mule deer in Colorado cities and whitetail deer all over the east coast. Roe and sika deer would not be out of place but the map does feel strange without them

especially with all the deer crossing signs on the road to the lighthouse

Could make a Case to add Nandu (Mini-Ostrich) since they were introduced to Mecklenburg around 2000 and some have settled also in Schleswig-Holstein - however active hunting has diminished the Population since 2020. It could be a Case for Parque Fernando aswell

I would have liked some more bird options like woodcock, partridge, common quail, wood pigeon and coot

As for small game I think animals like European Hare, Nutria and Badgers would have been good inclusions

I suppose if Salzwiesen was bigger then animals like Sika, Roe Deer and Rhea would have been good inclusions

And while having European Jackals on the map is taking some creative liberties its still a bit more realistic then Lesser Kudu in the same area as Springbok
