That’s something that has to be added during the coding process of the game. It can’t be added in as the game has been out for over 8 years. Plus, seeing as PC has a massive hacking problem, it’s probably not a good idea to allow consoles and PC players to play together.

Not only would they have to implement an anticheat into the game, but it would have to actually be effective. Also, it’s simply not possible to add in cross-platform support post-coding process, at least from what the devs have said. I’m not a game developer nor do I know anything about code, but EW has spoken about it many times and have said that it’s simply not possible to implement cross-play.
