#add african wild dog to vurhonga

No thanks
I don’t see an credible reason for not having these on Vurhonga
I can think of a couple
• Many countries in Africa have a wide variety of Legally huntable species. Adding Endangered species that cannot be hunted in real-life should only be done if there is a good reason and story for it like how the tigers on Sundarpatan were implemented, they should not be added for the sake of it
• I would rather see spotted hyenas be added to Vurhonga or lions be given proper prides mechanics
Again any species is now possible through ingame story telling. New species are never added “for the sake of it”
Very species brings with it something new and unique, there are more wild dogs than tigers in the world.
The latter point is just speculative, we don’t know what they would add instead of anything at all.
And estimated 6,600 adult and yearling wild dogs with 1,400 mature breeding individuals being a number I see pop up for African Wild Dog populations (One of the sources quoting that number being the IUCN Canid Specialist Group (https://www.canids.org/species/view/African-wild-dog#:~:text=African Wild Dogs have disappeared, only 1%2C400 are mature individuals.), and that is compared to the estimated 3140 mature tigers (With a good number of those being Bengal Tigers). If we are counting all animals at least a year old then yes wild dogs outnumber tigers.
Lekker
I’d personally rather see Brown/Spotted Hyenas or Aardwolves on Vurhonga. Hell, all of them would be cool to see. Seeing as the map is set in Botswana, it’s about the best place to have Brown Hyenas or Aardwolves (other than maybe Ethiopia for Aardwolves).
Spotted Hyenas could be on basically any African map outside of a Congo or Atlas Mountains map, too, so Brown Hyenas would make for a better choice imo.
