1.1-1.3m tall
There is a eastern(mountain) and western(lowland) bongo, the eastern being way rarer but either would be cool
220-405kg(male)150-235kg(female)
Females have brighter coats
Males are usually solitary, while females are usually in small groups
Mostly nocturnal

Has expanding a map ever been done/requested?

Requested I’ve seen, actually done I don’t think so (aside from backfilling for species that fit on a map). You could try and come up with a Congo map idea? Hopefully they will start focusing on Africa after this new winter map comes out but there’s no surety of that.

I mean, it's not much crazier than lesser kudu and Eurasian Wigeon tbh

I mean obv it's still a no but still just tryna whine about lesser kudu again

I'm busy working on a impala document rn hoping maaaaybe I get some luck from the devs looking at it favorably and then maybe I'll see what the devs say about reworking verhonga a touch

Fun Fact: Fallow Deer would have been a more realistic inclusion for Vurhonga then Lesser Kudu since at least Fallow Deer can be found and hunted in South Africa, though I would have preferred something like Impala or Nyala

But yeah crazy that that would be more accurate.

Something rather interesting that could be added to Vurhonga is the Blesbok and the Bontebok. They’re rather colorful antelope that are found in South Africa.

The Bontebok could be found on the Plateau as they’re prefer high elevation areas, and the Blesbok could be found in the lowlands, as they prefer lower elevation grasslands.

Blesbok (Right)

I still want Impala more than anything seeming that it is the most common and plentiful antelope in literally all of Africa

Yeah, Blesbok and Impala would be my picks

Just a little nitpick I have to point out. But there’s a population of eastern bongo in Kenya.
But yeah, bongo shouldn’t go on Vurhonga. Lesser kudu shouldn’t go on Vurhonga( it’s like having moose on Mississippi acres), but the devs just HAD to add them for some reason!

I was just pointing out that the map wasn’t showing the population in Kenya. Having bongo on Vurhonga is like having moose on Mississippi Acres
