#Pls fix the Curman .50 inline

Well yeah, the curman sucks
wild name
sadly i really like it
I love it for deer but I don't use it much
thx
SO PLS FIX THE GUN
I love using the Curman. It's an incredibly satisfying weapon to operate, especially in the sound department, but the zeroing distances and the fact that it's worse than a .243 for moose really bugs me
i think if it could zero to at least 200 m it would be so much more useable
The zeroing distances + the fact that it's arguably the worst weapon to use for moose makes it really hard to justify using it over the Hudzik. I hope they adjust the zeroing distances and fix the weird interaction it has with moose, bc from my testing it works as intended for everything else
i mean the gun litteraly says ammo effective gun range 200 m
Yeah I know, I covered that in the post that I linked above
It makes the gun feel hard to justify when the Hudzik can zero to 100-150-200, while the Curman has 75-100-150
ye i hope they will ever fix it
I'll agree here even though the Hudzik does have a longer barrel its range varies between ball & slugs. And I'll also add that all blkpwdrs should be 4-9 for no other reason than bison. And it does bug me I'm unable to use the Raptor Reflex with the inline when some regulations prohibit the use of multi-powered scopes.
Hello Hunters,
Thanks for sharing your feedback about the Curman .50 inline. We can understand the frustration with the zeroing distances and how it compares to other weapons, especially when it feels underperforming for certain animals. A 200m zeroing distance would definitely help balance its usefulness and make it a more viable option for hunting larger game.
I’ll be sure to pass this along to the rest of the team! If you have more ideas or further feedback, feel free to reach out via our support portal: https://support.thehunter.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
Folks, muzzleloaders have never been designed as long range weapons in the modern sense. Sure, you have a few companies starting to make high tech muzzleloaders for that purpose, but it defeats the point of the weapon and why use one then if you can just use your regular deer rifle and have three or four more shots to go with it?
The Curman works just fine, and I have no issues taking black bears, caribou, and moose with it. Elevate it a bit if you insist on taking long range pot shots.
my main problem is that every 4-8 gun in the game can handle moose with little issues except for the Curman. It hits a lung and gives "Very Low" bleed rate regardless of distance, while other weapons will at minimum give "Low" bleed on a vital organ hit at longer ranges
The hudzik should drop HEAVY.
@odd hearth you haven't tried the 6.5mm on Moose, have you?
I haven't, I'll have to look at that
Just tested, here's my results
6.5mm Polymer Tip: 45 meter shot broadside, single lung, very low bleed, approx. 490 meter track, sucks on basically everything
.50 Sabot Polymer Tip: 53 meter shot broadside, single lung, very low bleed, 463 meter track, actually works pretty well on literally everything except moose (even works on grizzlies and saltwater crocs)
6.5mm sucks and Inline vs Moose needs to be looked at
I didn't realize that the 6.5mm would be that bad on moose though omg lol
I have successfully taken Moose without much tracking with the Inline from 100m+, I haven't done it in a month or so, so maybe one of the last couple updates broke it somehow, but I've never considered anything as bad as the 6.5mm on moose
It definitely had to have been broken sometime recently, bc it sucks for specifically moose rn
People have been asking for the 6.5mm to be reduced to a 3-7 weapon specifically for that reason. Other Class 8's are generally fine but Moose are just resistant to them
i'll get a recording real quick to show it
"file is too powerful" :(
but yeah, same thing, single lung, 400+ meter track, very low bleed
and again, it works fine on basically everything else, even grizzlies and crocs
i think Huxley even tested it on banteng and got better results than I've been getting with moose
I agree with ya there muzzleloaders are intended to be the medium between bow & rifle. They are meant by design to be for close to medium range hunts effectively. Which is why I'm annoyed I'm not able to use the Raptor Reflex over powered optics on the Inline. Other than that traditionally I should be able to hunt bison with them as well.
Zero range wise is fine as is for what they are. Hudzik & Gandhare make sense they reach further because they have longer barrels.
