why?
Muskox weigh only around 400-800lbs, perfect for 7/8.
They weigh around 400 kg and if we add their hard, hairy skin and their enormous amount of fat they would be class 8/9.
You can easily take them with .30-06, no need for .470.
Well in any case it would be class 8
They are nowhere near the level of Cape and Water Buffalo + The Big Cats. Maybe at the most moose and grizzlies.
Now I ask you, if the banteng weigh 500 kg, why are they class 9?
I have always said Bison and Banteng should be in 8, very simple change.
You can probably track that back to after emerald coast was released tbh.
I don't think that way, they are fat and very fatty animals apart from the thick fur they have.
They aren’t exactly impenetrable.
I think you have a very wrong concept of animals in the class system
Weight, toughness, size, aggressiveness and caliber commonly used are all factors EW uses. This would put Muskox right in 6/7/8.
Following these steps the Musk Ox would be in class 8 100% and/or in class 9 75%
Also in real life the Musk Ox is hunted with the calibers .300win, .308, .338 and .375h&h
Certainly not caliber, nor size, and especially not weight. Every other class 9 has as low as around 500lbs on them or as has 2000lbs+ on them.
