#Give us the option for pop resets instead of just doing them.

I'm now seeing that black bears are getting a forced pop reset after we were allowed to keep it before. Tons of us have put in a lot of work on our population and do not want a reset. You absolutely need to make it so we have the option to allow the reset or block it. Every time we get our populations the way we want them yall reset them. It's enough to make people quit and leave the game.

The reason people that are happy with it are not on here posting about it is were happy and playing the game. Do a poll instead of just saying oh there are negative comments. You finally do something right, and then noep gonna backtrack to do it wrong.

I have 3 black bear zones that are glitched, shot high level bears off them and it still shows “Black Bear 4-8” but no bear ever spawns there EVER, I believe it’s throwing my Diamond count off cause it’s still registering a bear being there. I fixed one zone by blowing it out but I think a full reset is needed since I’m on Xbox and can’t do my own pop reset.

No. Why? Because this is not necessary. I support the ability to grind but it is essentially a manipulation of the game's mechanics and should not be prioritised over normal gameplay. Building something like this would absorb a lot of resources and I'd rather their time be dedicated to other things. Besides, I can see this being fraught with bugs and problems.

For y'all saying no, all you have to do is go ahead and accept the reset, but for those of us who have put a lot of work into our grind we should have that option to keep our population if we want it. There's no skin of your nose if you want to reset yours. That's why an option to do it is the way to go. If you can't say something besides no with absolutely no feedback you do not help in anyway.

If they can make the reset optional .... then they should .... Im in favor of everyone having the game their way whenever possible ...

You can save your population if you're on PC by saving your data/population folder and then putting it back after the reset.

You need to put out a video for everyone on how to do exactly what you are talking about. It would help so many other players it would be insane to even think about it. I don't think it would work for console players though.

I can see something like this being fraught with bugs and problems, as the no-reset situation is right now.
I fully support grinding but it is essentially game mechanics manipulation (legal cheating, if you will) and should never be prioritised over normal gameplay in development decisions. Originally frowned upon, it is only recently that the developers have supported grinding. When you start building a grind, you know that there is a risk that one day there may be the requirement for a rare population reset, Resets keeps things fair.
I can appreciate the option idea and have no problem if they did build it but I don't feel that it is something that is desperately needed as of now.

Seemed to me a lot of people had issues getting their bears to change times without the reset. If, as they have said in the past, they can't reset on an individual basis then it should be across the board resets. The majority shouldn't have to suffer through issues due to a handful that has put in a bit of work. It seems that this reset is going forward regardless.
