Well Vultures are seen in a negative way by their way of arriving at death and they can pose a threat so yes.
I love it .
Moose charges into these suggestion with every detail about shooting legality.
Makes my dayđđ
Side note: Vultures would be cool, but I think we are once again restricted by where they can be shot.
it is actually legal according to multiple sites. i only found that in texas and california you do need a permit however.
Ah perfect, theyâd suite a Texas map for sure
Can you hunt them in Mexico?
yes. the black vulture is in mexiko
Would make a good backfill for the Mexico map
Andean Condor: South America | Griffon Vulture: Europe, North Afrika, Parts of Asia | King Vulture: Central and South Amerika | Cape Vulture: South Afrika | Bearded Vulture: Europe, Asia, and Africa | Palm-Nut-Vulture (Gypohierax angolensis): Afrika | Trigonoceps: Afrika
Vultures are also the reason the ecosystems the live in are less disease ridden
Also the Andean Condor is very likely a protected species across their range (meaning they are likely off limits in Argentina)
Turkey Vulture are also protected in Washington (Layton Lakes) with a 200,00 dollar fine and/or a year in jail
They are also protected in Colorado (Silver Ridge)
Griffon Vultures are also protected in Spain and shooting them is highly illegal
A lot of vultures are becoming endangered because of poisoning, typically because of farmers trying to poison other predators and in Africa its often poachers deliberately poisoning vultures to conceal the fact they just poached some elephants
Also the Palm Nut Vulture mainly eats fruit (60% of their diet in adulthood mainly consists of fruits from oil palms and Raffia Palms)
In Summary: Vultures should not be added
I wouldnât mind seeing them circling around my kill, but definitely not to hunt them
I wouldnât mind seeing them up in the sky
I would agree with them being added as part of the Reserve Ecosystem and for them to hover around the killed animals to find them at great distances.
But not to shoot them, Vultures are considered Wildlife in all regions, they are not game species and it is normally illegal to shoot them since they are an important regulator of the health of ecosystems.
In the Falconry thread we had talked about them too

In Idaho (And The Majority Of The US & Parts Of Mexico/Southern Canada) Turkey Vultures Are Protected By Law, And Cannot Be Shot, Harvested, Captured, Sold, Or Harassed. I Think Having Them As A Part Of The In Game Ecosystem Would Be Cool, As Wellington Said, But Not As A Huntable Animal.
Six months imprisonment.
No voodoo magic for me thenâŠ.dang, I was hoping to learn the future by eating some vulture brains
Oh well
